All Together Now played at our formal, intimate wedding at the Larchmont Yacht Club in Larchmont, NY on August 1, 2009, and they were AMAZING -- I cannot praise them enough. The band was extremely professional at all times, from arranging everything on the phone/email in the beginning, as we were living in Washington DC at that time (Tommy Moore was wonderfully responsive, and got in contact regularly before the event), to setting up and breaking down at the end -- and of course, during the reception. They had to travel all the way from New Hampshire, and they arrived right on time and did everything they needed to do with time to spare -- as the bride, I experienced zero stress as far as they were concerned, which is just how you want it. They respected our strict reception schedule to a tee -- in fact, they helped us keep to it and took it very seriously. They had wonderful and creative ideas about the set list and how to get people on the dance floor and create an appropriate flow of different moods throughout the evening, from rocking out to romantic slow dances. They encouraged us to use their wireless microphone for the various toasts, and it was just perfect (and saved us the clutter of using a regular mic). Their sound expert was also with us, and he did a wonderful job making sure everything went smoothly on that end, including setting up our ipod and playing music we chose for specific breaks in the evening, with no need for us to lift a finger. We had no sound issues at all throughout the night, and the volume, etc. were set up perfectly for our space. Best of all, though, was the band's skill as musicians and energy as performers. We had not seen them play live when we hired them (we went by their DVD and the very good impression we got via email and phone), and we were stunned at how fantastic they were in person. They are truly sound-alike, from vocals to instrumentation and all the rest, and are skilled and experienced musicians. Their faithfulness to the original songs was impressive, especially to a longtime Beatles fan like myself. Their energy was phenomenal, and it is clear that they are passionate about what they do. Guests of all ages, some of whom never dance, were on their feet dancing literally all night, and are still raving to us about how phenomenal the band and music were (and how perfectly the Beatles fit a formal yacht club wedding!). Some of our older guests who were not able to dance told us they had a wonderful time sitting at their tables singing along the whole time -- they didn't feel like they had to sit out on all the fun, as they might have otherwise. We would strongly recommend hiring All Together Now for any occasion and hope to have an opportunity to work with them -- and see them perform -- again soon. -Patricia S., Attorney, 27, Newport, RI...last night in Amesbury was perfect. YOUR BAND IS OUTSTANDING!!!!!! Our dreadful weather turned gorgeous, the crowd was fun, especially the little children, the music of course speaks for itself, but also the band sang and played it beautifully. Thank you for a wonderful evening. You'll be seeing me again! - NancySaturday, July 11, 2009
DOVER — What a difference a week makes!
Savage and his wife, Cecile, have gone to every concert for the last three years. "We don't live too far from the park and can walk down here; it's very convenient," he said. Cecile said it's also fun to watch children run around and dance. Both said they were impressed with last week's crowd, even though it was held inside. Others used Friday night as chance to break free from cabin fever. "It's wonderful out," said Lorraine Haley. "A great night to get out and enjoy the weather." Haley and her husband, Andy, make an effort to attend a few concerts a year, she said. The fun continues next week with the Don Campbell Band. For more information about the festival call the Chamber of Commerce at 742-2218 or visit www.cochechoartsfestival.org. Great show in Newmarket today... best things in life being outside in NH & hearing one of the BEST Beatles bands out there. Looking forward to the upcoming shows... plan on coming to the next 4!! I am a Beatles fan, therefore I request: "The Word", ...your cover of it in January was PERFECT! - JaneThe band was awesome. You are all very talented professionals. I heard several comments throughout the night how "realistic" the stage production sounded to the original recordings (gtr, keys, vox, etc...) I've been working in music a LONG time and have worked with lots of musicians and bands. As such, - I'm not easily impressed. You guys really impressed me. - Gary (Sound Engineer)Are you folks going to be playing at First Night Portsmouth again this year? We saw you there last Dec 31 and were blown away, and plan to come back in the hopes of seeing you again. - PatMy girlfriend (soon to be my wife) and I attended your appearance at Meadowbrook just last night. We had a "fab" time and danced until our feet fell off. Please keep us updated as to your schedule so that our paths can cross again soon. As my girlfriend "lovely Rita" told Bruce we attended a Beatlejuice concert in Manchester after the sudden loss of their lead singer and found your cover of the Beatles to be better. Thanks for the show and keep on rocking. - DanI am a huge Beatles fan (as many of us are) & I consider myself quite a connoisseur of Beatles cover/tribute bands. I give you 5 stars for your performance last night!! I am very picky about performance of Beatles' tunes, but when I attend a performance that flashes me back to my childhood (early Beatles) or makes me feel like it would have been like to have attended the Ed Sullivan Show, Yankee Stadium or Carnegie Hall (minus the screams), I am overflowing in complete joy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! - jml |
